What is DIM Weight?
Dimensional weight (DIM weight) is a pricing technique used for freight transfer, including courier and postal services.
Since the amount of space on a delivery truck is limited, dimensional weight takes into account package density to determine shipping rates. The DIM weight and the actual weight are compared—the larger of the two determines the billable weight.
